Removed Programs Still in "Add/Remove Programs."
Removed Programs Still in "Add/Remove Programs."
Uninstalled a program, or deleted the folder the program was in, but it's still shows up in "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel? Here's how to fix it:
Click on Start and go to Run...
In the box type in "regedit" (no quotation marks) and click OK-

Regedit is a very powerful tool for managing your computer, but you need to excercise extreme
caution and follow our instructions exactly.
Now in regedit, you'll want to go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
To do that, we'll click on the + by "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" on the left side-

Then scroll down slowly until you see "SOFTWARE" and click the + next to it, and more stuff
will drop down underneath it.
Scroll down again until you see "Microsoft" and click the + next to it-

From there we'll scroll down again to "Windows" and click the + there, then down to
"CurrentVersion" and clicking the + next to it, and then scroll down to "Uninstall."
Underneath "Uninstall" you should have a list of your the programs that show up in "Add/Remove
Programs." To get one out of there that should be, right click on it, then left click
on "Delete."

Click on "Yes" and you're all set.
